Rescuing Samoyeds
|
Samoyeds who enter our Rescue Program come to us from a variety of circumstances. Some are rescued from pounds and shelters, while others are surrendered due to changes in their owners’ lives, such as time constraints, family breakdowns, or financial hardship. Occasionally, Samoyeds are referred to our Rescue team following concerns raised through council complaints or RSPCA inspections.
In the vast majority of cases, these dogs arrive through no fault of their own. Many simply need patience, care, and a little guidance to rediscover the happy, affectionate nature that makes the Samoyed breed so special. Once in Rescue, each dog receives appropriate veterinary care and is placed into a safe and loving foster home while we work to find the right permanent family. Before being adopted, all Samoyeds are fully groomed and bathed, flea treated, vaccinated, wormed, desexed, and microchipped. If you are interested in fostering or adopting a rescued Samoyed, or if you have a Samoyed in need of Rescue, please complete the contact form and a member of our Rescue team will be in touch. If you require urgent assistance for your Samoyed to be rescued, please contact one of our Rescue Coordinators directly: Rachael Baker on 0410 574 199 or Tennille Akkouche on 0416 833 700. For regular updates on Samoyeds in Rescue and other Club news, we encourage you to join the NSW Samoyed Club. |
